Nicholas J. Martignetti is a Project Manager & the Director of MULHERN + KULP’s San Diego Office. The son of a general contractor, he was exposed to all the skilled trades from a very young age. This valuable experience has helped to provide a unique ability to marry construction with design, particularly in wood framed residential homes. He has worked on a wide range of projects varying from renovations to production and custom homes in all parts of the country. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Villanova University. He moved out to the west coast in 2020, and opened up M+K’s San Diego office. He leads M+K’s business development in the West.

Richard J. Zabel is a Project Manager & the Director of Engineering at MULHERN + KULP’s San Diego Office. He graduated from the University of Delaware with bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. From day one, he has demonstrated a commitment to technical excellence, hard work, attention to detail, and exceptional communication. He has been the primary engineer on countless single-family home and townhome projects throughout the country and in the process has accumulated a wealth of experience. In 2020, he relocated to the San Diego office where he specializes in custom home designs on the west coast. He is responsible for overseeing and leading the technical operations of the entire company.

Mulhern + Kulp is a full-service structural engineering consulting firm, providing services to architects, builders, and developers nationwide.
