Professor Lanza di Scalea was elected Fellow of the Acoustic Society of America "based on outstanding contributions to acoustics and the Society with citation:  for contributions to the theory and applications of ultrasonic guided waves." The announcement of the election will be made during the plenary session at the November 2016 Annual Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in Honolulu, HI.
